Some rendered generative art.

Brochures

As admissions tutor, I helped produce the artwork for three of our brochures. The first is a Structure Synth and Sunflow render; the second two are from Context Free.

You can read some mathematical background, if the link is alive, here: Context

Large pieces

Some larger renders from Sunflow and LuxRender

The Mondrian example from Structure Synth, in glass. These are Sunflow renderings-- it took some effort to coax a decent approximation to light transport out of this. You can download the source code, Large image, Short focal image.

Again, but now rendered in LuxRender, which handles the light transport easily (of course, being physically based). You can download the source code, Large image, and source code, Short focal image..

My profile picture. An ongoing battle to understand the subtle difference between the version make with the cylinder and disk primitives in Lux Render, and the version using triangle meshes. You can download the source code, Large image, and source code, source code part 2, Large image.

From the "nabla" demo in Structure Synth. You can download the source code, Large image, and source code, Large image.

Sunflow

Some older renders in Sunflow.
