Registration and Conference Dinner

There will be a registration fee of 15 pounds per day; this is to help defray costs for participants without funding. In particular, the LMS grant will cover registration costs for PhD students, and we may be able to cover some travel and accommodation costs for students, and for those without other financial support.

There will a conference dinner on the evening of Tuesday 29th June, in the Great Woodhouse room at the university. Cost will be 29 pounds per person; 3 courses including wine.

Accomodation

There are a number of hotels which we have used in the past:

  • Cliff Lawn: This is situated in a pleasant area north of the university (and hence slightly away from the city centre).
  • IBIS Hotel Leeds: This is situated much closer to the university and the city centre, but is a large hotel.
  • Met Leeds: A somewhat more upmarket hotel in the centre of Leeds.

For those on a budget, there are some B&Bs which are cheap and cheerful, and near the university:

I have been quite successful in using general search engines. In particular, these sites often offer rooms at the hotels above at a cheaper than advertised rate.

First conference

The first conference was held on 27, 28 and 29 May, support by a London Mathematical Society Scheme 1 grant.
